Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI)

Why it's done

Doctors use iMRI to assist in surgery to treat brain tumors, gliomas, and pituitary tumors. They also use it to assist in surgery to treat epilepsy, essential tremor, dystonia, and Parkinson's disease. IMRI can also be used to assist in surgery to treat brain and mental health disorders.
